From late June to early August, Hawthorne Valley Farm Place Based Learning Center welcomes children to the farm with both day and residential summer camps for children ages 8 to 16. Children and counselors spend their days living, playing and working together on our active Biodynamic® farm. Children feed the animals, clean the barn, collect chicken eggs, garden, horseback ride, hike, create nature-based arts and crafts, swim and so much more!
For campers ages 12 to 16, we offer the opportunity to become junior apprentices and experience the various departments of the farm while learning about the farm-to-table and farm-to-store systems. Traditional farm, camp and culture activities, off-campus hikes and music festivals round out their summer stay with us.
